The substation is located to the west of Lihu Jinfu, Zhongqiao, Binhu District, Wuxi City, with an entirely indoor layout. Existing noise reduction measures are ineffective, and the main noise sources are indoor reactors and outlet fans. For this treatment project, it is determined to replace the original acoustic diversion hoods, remove the rooftop noise barriers, and install new acoustic diversion hoods.
Design and Standards Basis
The design follows five principles: technicality, rationality, economy, environmental protection and safety, ensuring noise reduction effect while taking into account equipment operation, cost, environmental protection of materials, fire resistance and structural robustness.
Thirteen national laws, regulations, standards and enterprise engineering experiences are referenced, including the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise Pollution and the Environmental Quality Standard for Acoustic Environment. The substation is located in a Class 2 acoustic environment zone, where the noise at the plant boundary and surrounding sensitive points shall comply with Class 2 standards: ≤ 60 dB(A) in daytime and ≤ 50 dB(A) at night.
